To sharpen your thinking on what our Media Failure consists of, see my work on the concept of Suppression for both PostModernConservative, and my new solo stack, Dissident Conservative.

See especially my recent, "The ABCs of Suppression," https://dissidentcon.substack.com/p/the-abcs-of-suppression Then go to the more detailed pieces I did in my pol sci PhD mode, "The Purpose of Open Journalism and Free Speech" https://substack.com/home/post/p-148020970 and "What Suppression Is Not." https://substack.com/home/post/p-149540452

The latter in particular shows you why, even though suppression goes hand in hand with Censorship-Complex activities, it is in strict terms its own evil, and an evil that our Constitution's letter doesn't (b/c it couldn't) forbid, even though suppression is 100% hostile to it's spirit.

And overall, my writing shows you where we need to concentrate out argumentive fire: ON CONSERVATIVE LEADERS, in media and politics. That is the weak-point of the wall which has been erected against us. Legacy-Dem media is utterly hopeless, and we need to stop bitching about it as if the conservative leaders have been our friends. They haven't.

I read the ABC's story - A+. There is an important difference between censorship and suppression of important stories.

The Brownstone Institute, where Lori and I both write, has distinguished itself by not suppressing any Covid stories.

Truth: "Those who trust compromised news sources that still center on outdated paradigms of political conflict are likely unaware of how deeply the landscape has changed, and what is really at stake."

News media have become the left wing resistance. They’re proud of that. Crowing that impartiality is not a good thing.

One need look no further than the cultish coverage of Obama: Newsweek dubbed him “god of all things” in their quest to defend and deify him.

The refusal to acknowledge Biden’s decline, was another low point for legacy news media. Now that it’s become obvious, shills like Jake Tapper are writing books about it. Tapper was one of Biden’s biggest supporters, refusing to admit there was a problem.

In their endless battle against all things not progressive, the press have lost the people.

Once they’ve lost the people, news media are of no value to anyone.

It's quite disturbing that people like Tapper and Maddow, and so many other media personalities who got everything so wrong, have any credibility with anyone. But somehow they do. I know quite a few people who still get their "news" from legacy media; you can tell by how they view things like Biden's health, the Covid response, climate change, etc.

I kept harping on the real Biden scandal. It was that everyone in the media was covering up his dementia. Just like EVERY employee in the White House.

Your anecdote about Tapper reminds me of an Alabama sports columnist who kept writing columns in 2020 saying the Powers that Be should cancel the college football season.

Well, they didn't listen to Joe Goodman and played the season (albeit in front of only tiny crowds). Alabama went on to run the table and win the national championship with the best offensive team the Tide has ever had.

That's the team and season that Goodman didn't want to happen.

He later wrote a book celebrating that team's accomplishments.

Sigh.

This is right on target, Lori.

Sad, too.

But truth matters more.

The truth can be painful, but it can save lives too. We've got to purge the liars for our own self-preservation. Do it for the kids.

Wow, that clip of all the stations mouthing the propaganda was something to behold. I had no idea it was that blatant. Of course, now they can use AI to easily modify the scripts so they don't all sound exactly the same. Services like GroundNews attempt to give a more balanced view of the media but I have wondered if that is also mostly an illusion.

Not new - such clips have been around for years.

Hard to say, but it's definitely concerning! Did you see that clip of multiple Democratic Senators basically giving the same "impromptu" social media speech?
