Interesting that you should write an article for The Children's Defense, as they banned me permanently , i.e. censored - [ you know - like google censored you ] for asking the obvious question - Why does RFK jr. think it is a catastrophic crisis that unborn babies are being injured by maternal vaccines, but fully supports the right of that same mother to decapitate, dismember or burn alive the same unborn child right up until the date of delivery- calling it 'reproductive rights'. You may not like the question, but please! Maybe read your own article and apply it to yourself first.
Thanks for reading and commenting. You bring up good points. First of all, because I do not get paid for my articles, and they are in the public domain, I don't actually know when another publication picks them up unless someone tells me. I didn't know Children's Health Defense had reprinted this article, but I am glad they did, as I think the message needs to reach as many people as possible. I don't agree with all of RFK Jr's positions - his stance on abortion being one of them, but I do not think we live in a time where one can dismiss an ally based on one issue. We are in a time of needing to unite to protect basic freedoms, so that we HAVE a civil society from which to debate each other on the important issues. If we lose basics civil liberties and human rights, we lose the essential freedoms necessary for addressing other issues.
I have also had my writing rejected by sites that don't like what I have to say, including my local newspapers. It can be a form of censorship if you can't even get your opinion out there, but I don't consider it the same level of censorship as having Google go into a private email chat and remove comments.
Thanks for speaking up about issues that are important to you. More people need to do that - especially in a manner that fosters conversation rather than division.
"If we lose basic civil liberties and human rights, we lose the essential freedoms necessary for addressing other issues."
Like killing babies for convenience? We shouldn't dismiss an 'ally' because of one issue? Does Hitler come to mind? The good German housewife drying her sheets downwind from the incinerators? This is not one issue. It's a river of innocent blood and mangled bodies as high as your second story window seeping from hospital garbage systems. RFK jr. is no ally to humanity when he pushes the most gruesome form of killing as a 'right' in society. He is no ally if he bans truths that would put him in poor light. If he thinks that murdering little unborn children is such a benefit or such insignificant parlor chat that shouldn't stand in the way of 'unity, then stand up and defend it. Let us see the photos of the tiny dismembered humans. Let's discuss what REALLY happens in an abortion clinic. But GOD forbid if you happen to want the baby and the 'medical industry' [ whose best selling products are sick people, by the way ] jabs you up with mercury, aluminum, aborted fetal cells, PEG ad nauseum, THEN it's a crisis for the 'unborn' child. In fact it's a holocaust. The hypocrisy is breathtaking. I appreciate that you responded, It was a response that I had sadly anticipated. Let me quote you one more time:
"We are in a time of needing to unite to protect basic freedoms, so that we HAVE a civil society from which to debate each other on the important issues. If we lose basics civil liberties and human rights, we lose the essential freedoms necessary for addressing other issues."
In light of what is ACUALLY going on, this statement is saddest and the most frightening of all. Here. Watch this and ask yourself if your answers sound familiar.
Well, that is very disturbing. Ironically perhaps, YouTube suggested to me the video replay of RFK's debate action, so I guess Big Brother still has some work to do to quash all "deviant behavior".
Interesting! Sometimes I think we just get jerked around so we never know for sure what is "acceptable" and what is not. Like getting booted off a platform and then they say, "Oh, it was just an internal error," and they restore your account , leaving you with the uneasy feeling that at any time it could happen again. The most disturbing factor in this case, in my opinion, is that the surveillance and censorship took place in a private Google Group.
Thank you Lori - the story of how you were personally impacted by Big Brother juxtaposed w quotes from 1984 is very powerful. I hope it scares people out of their “it couldn’t happen here” and “Trump is the real threat to our democracy” complacency.
The list of insults and tyranny in list form was quite powerful. It really was bad.

Extremely disturbing.

Matt Tiabbi is doing a great job covering this issue.

That's my hope as well! Thank you, Debbie.
